Ambrosia Bhutan Travels is the brain child of Mr. Mohan Rai and his beloved wife Laxmi. Mohan comes from a humble Bhutanese family. He completed his high school and his college in Bhutan from Sherubtse College, Kanglung in 2001 with Honours Degree in English and pursued his teachers training, B.Ed for one year in Loyola College of Educaiton from Namchi in Sikkim, India. Later in 2009 he was granted Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) through AusAID to take Master Degree in Leadership and Management with specialization in Policy and Change from Monash University in Australia, Melbourne which he successfully completed in high distinctions in October 2010. He has worked as a teacher in high school for 8 years and has remained as educational leader for more than 4 years.
Although he has not been closely associated with tourism industry in his career, his personal interest and passion of visiting places, meeting people and experiencing new things motivated him to venture into this industry and hence opened the doors for those who wish to embrace Bhutan and renew their lives. Bhutan, being one of the most amazing tour destinations in the world, hidden in the Himalayas with outstanding landscapes, unique people and culture, well preserved tradition and heritage is therefore undeniably the place not to miss in one’s lifetime. Mr. Mohan's philosophy strongly echoes what Tennyson once said, “All experience is an arch wherethro’ gleams that untravell’d world whose margin fades forever and forever when I move”.
As a person he is very disciplined with good character and strongly driven by spirit of work and ethics. All his years in service as a teacher, he is known as a man of dignity and honour who has worked with utmost sincerity and hard work. He is very eloquent in English, Nepali, Dzongkha, Hindi and fairly sociable with people.

When she resigned in 2009, she was then promoted to a Senior Accountant of the Ticketing unit. After a break of almost two years, she was once again called by the management and had joined the organization as a Finance Officer looking after all general finance and accounting for both ticketing and tours business of the company until she resigned again in 2015 to join Ambrosia Bhutan Travels as a General Manager and Financial Advisor.
